Notes:

  • “Number of full-time equivalent staff” includes primary staff members and the staff hours allocated to us by our parent organisations, the Effective Ventures group, prior to our spinout in April 2025.
  • From 2023 onwards, we have used the exchange rate on January 1 to exchange from GBP to USD. Between 2017 and 2022 we use the average of all daily exchange rates within the relevant year. We aren’t confident which exchange rates were used before 2017, due to a change in accounting systems.
  • In 2024, we updated the 2019 income reported here, from $5.18M to $7.18M, as the original figure didn’t include a donation we’d received via transfer at the equity level from our parent organisation. Our net assets, which we use for budgeting and fundraising, remained accurate throughout.
